Can PNES come out of sleep?
• PNES often starts from a state that resembles sleep, although the person is actually awake (as based on their EEG). This is known as "pre-ictal pseudo sleep."
• Pre-ictal sleep attacks seem to occur mostly in patients with PNES and much less frequently in those with epileptic attacks.
