The American Epilepsy Society's meeting is the largest and most prestigious event for epilepsy professionals in the USA and for specialists in psychogenic non-epileptic seizures (PNES). This year's meeting will be held in Baltimore, MD.
Psychiatrists, psychologists, epileptologists, neuropsychologists, and nurse practitioners who specialize and have a definite interest in PNES (dissociative seuizures) meet for several days at what has now become much more than just an American meeting (it attracts a large international audience) to present on and discuss novel research on PNES in Special Interest Groups, Courses, and poster presentations. Clinicians and researchers tend to come back energized and with new ideas to work on for the rest of the year.
