Clinic Information
In the MGH FND Clinic, Dr. Perez and colleagues provide specialized, integrated neurologic and psychiatric consultations for patients experiencing motor Functional Neurological Disorders, including individuals with Psychogenic Nonepileptic Seizures, Functional Movement Disorders, and Functional Limb Weakness. The allied clinical team includes physiothe rapists, occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists, neuropsychologists, and psychotherapists.
Research
The MGH Functional Neurology Research Group is dedicated to the clinical and neurobiological investigation of motor FND. The laboratory uses neuropsychiatric assessments and advanced structural and functional MRI techniques to investigate markers of symptom severity, disease-risk, subtype and prognosis across individuals with Psychogenic Nonepileptic Seizures, Functional Movement Disorders and Functional Limb Weakness.
