Do persons with PNES experience Auras? (a perceptual disturbance experienced before a seizure begins (e.g. detecting odors, feeling bodily changes, sensations, sounds, visual disturbances):
• Slightly more than 2 out of 10 persons with PNES report experiencing auras.
• Aura characteristics vary widely, but some commonly reported auras include: strange feelings, dizziness, hot flashes, strange tastes, and headaches.
